The Form & Refine Shoemaker stool is a true classic, made in Denmark since 1936. The seat is shaped from one large, solid piece of wood, and because of the variations in the grain, each Shoemaker Chair™ is entirely unique. The turned legs and stabilising T-construction create a harmonious interplay and an aesthetic piece with strong references to the Nordic design tradition. The construction may look simple, but it is technically difficult to master. The solid piece of wood must be carved and shaped with great precision to ensure the highest possible comfort. Each stool is produced locally in Denmark and hand-sanded. The stool is made from solid European beech and finished with natural oil.
